Abstract With increasing life expectancy, age-related health disorders are becoming more prevalent. Among them, those involving mental health, such as strokes (cerebral vascular accidents) and neurodegenerative diseases, are affecting a steadily growing part of the population. Consequently, strategies relating to lifestyle and especially nutrition are being investigated for their prevention.
