This article provides an overview of terminology work in China. It traces back books and scholars in Ancient China to have a glance on the terminology glossaries and thoughts on terminology. Official terminology planning institutions were established during the modernization with the interchange of science and technology between China and foreign countries and one authorized institution in contemporary China functions astop management agency on terminology.
