Résumé

Based on Diachronic Terminology, on the Teoría Comunicativa de la Terminología (TCT), postulated by Cabré (1999), and on aspects of Brazilian History and Brazilian Law, a study is made of terms denominating places for the celebration and registration of civil marriages and the registration and issuance of Brazilian marriage certificates issued between 1890 and 2015 focusing on sociocultural and historical aspects underlying them.

Beatriz Curti-Contessoto, São Paulo State University (UNESP)

I am PhD Student (2015-2019) in Linguistic Studies at São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Brazil, who receives a support of the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). I graduated in Bachelor's Degree in Translation (French / Spanish) (2014) at the same institution. Since 2013, I collaborate with the Centre de Ressources et Information en Français (CRIF) that was founded by UNESP and French Embassy of São Paulo. I work as a French teacher in extension courses (2012-2018) and as a substitute professor in Letters and Bachelor's Degree in Translation (2016-) at UNESP in São José do Rio Preto/São Paulo. As a researcher, I have experience in Linguistics, mainly working on following topics: Diachronic Terminology, Mono / Bilingual Terminology, legal terminology and sociocultural, historical aspects in Terminology and Translation.
