Abstract

Through the proposal of definitions of 10 terms derived from real definitions of secondary school students, the aim of this article was to study how they construct the meaning of specialised words and to evaluate the bottom-up lexicographic method. It was observed that differences in conceptualisation between students from the first and second cycle of ESO are significant enough to consider establishing two sub-types of dictionaries for secondary education.
