Abstract

The Guaita terminològica project aims to establish a methodology for terminology watch: it is based on the exploration of English specialized texts, and it intends to extract from them neological terms that do not have any Catalan equivalence. Its final objective is to find a suitable Catalan equivalent and thus anticipating the

spread of English borrowings in the Catalan specialized discourse. In this article the results obtained in the field of biochemistry are described.
