Abstract

Musical Lexicon, Experimentation Bank on Loanwoards

This article offers a general view on the topic of loanwords in Catalan musical terminology with a descriptive approach based on the practical use in today’s Catalan, both in written as in oral language. Starting from an historical overview, it allows to observe the manifold typologies of loanwords and their different degrees and procedures of adaptation, from a total catalanisation to adoption or transliteration.

Author Biography

Albert Romaní i Turullols, Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya

Llicenciat en Filologia Romànica, actualment és més conegut com a músic en actiu, sobretot per la seva dedicació als instruments històrics de teclat. Paral·lelament, ha desenvolupat una tasca pedagògica i de divulgació a la intersecció entre aquestes dues disciplines, a l'Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, on ensenya Fonètica Aplicada al Cant i Fonts Històriques per a la Interpretació de la Música Antiga.

Dossier: Terminologia i medicina Semblança: Oriol Casassas i Simó (1923-2012). Aquest número ha rebut el suport de l'Institut d'Educació Contínua (IDEC).
