Abstract

The main objective of this research is to determine the perception of Galician neologisms created with auto- in short diachrony. Through a survey of different informants in two periods, we observe the use of auto- in the invention of a word on the basis of a definition, their opinions on the absence or presence of certain words built with auto- in their usual reference dictionaries, and the creation of definitions of four lexical forms with this combining form.
