Abstract

This article explores the interaction between human health and sustainability within the context of food. It considers the vectors of food sustainability and the European Green Deal, focusing in particular on the “Farm to Fork” strategy and the “UE Biodiversity” strategy for 2030, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Mediterranean diet, the food strategies of different organizations and sustainable dietary recommendations. With the goal of fostering a sustainable food system, the importance is emphasized of taking into account the economic, environmental and social aspects of food production and consumption.
