Abstract

This paper seeks to pay a well-deserved tribute to women scientists. We begin by mentioning some internationally known figures as well as others of renown in Catalonia, going on to present some women members of the Catalan Food Sciences Association (ACCA in Catalan) who are currently engaged in pioneering and innovative work in various social and professional spheres of the food field. These women are now in the process of making history in such important food-related areas as nutrition, public health and scientific research, among others.

Doctora en farmàcia. Especialista en nutrició humana i dietètica. Presidenta de l’Associació Catalana de Ciències de l’Alimentació. Membre numerària de la Reial Acadèmia de Farmàcia de Catalunya.
