The methodology we will be presenting consists of the following three steps: the use of an ethnographic interview, the use of a documentary questionnaire survey, and the use of lexical availability tasks. Author Biographies Claudio Molina Salinas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Claudio Molina Salinas es doctor en lingüística, grado que le otorga la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, y tiene particular interés en temas de la lingüística aplicada tocantes a la lexicología y la terminología. Su línea de investigación actual se centra en el desarrollo de bases teóricas aplicables a la descripción, validación, integración y análisis lingüístico de vocabularios referidos al arte y la catalogación del patrimonio cultural. Una tarea derivada de este trabajo se centra en el desarrollo de metodologías para la descripción lingüística. Erik Daniel Franco Trujillo, El Colegio de México Erik Daniel Franco Trujillo es profesor-investigador del Centro de Estudios Lingüísticos y Literarios de El Colegio de México y forma parte del equipo lexicográfico del proyecto del Diccionario del Español de México. Actualmente, se encuentra realizando un estudio sobre los mecanismos lingüísticos para la formación de juegos verbales en el español mexicano. Entre sus intereses académicos se encuentran la lexicología, en particular el préstamo léxico y la innovación léxica, el estudio de las tradiciones verbales populares en el español mexicano y la traductología.
