Gender equality and inclusive language measures

In the current composition of the team, the director, the editor-in-chief and 80% of the members of the Editorial Board are women.

The Advisory Council and the Scientific Council are equal.

The selection of external reviewers for the articles is based on thematic suitability and ensures that there is gender parity among the reviewers of each article or, alternatively, among the set of reviewers of the articles of the same number.

To promote the visibility of women researchers, the bibliography included in each article requires the full name of the authors cited, as an expansion of the standard APA format.

In the linguistic revision of the journal content, the regulations in force in each language are applied, respecting the options for explicit marking of gender or inclusive language that the authors have incorporated. In this document, the unmarked forms in Romance languages (Spanish: autoreseditores y revisores o evaluadores; Catalan: autors, editors i revisors o avaluadors) are generally used to refer to all the people who perform these roles, regardless of their gender.

In the communications between the editorial team and the authors, reviewers and collaborators, personalized treatment is chosen to avoid homogeneous solutions for diverse groups in gender.
