Abstract

Between 2021 and 2023, the Bon Preu Group and the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingü.stica (Language Normalization Consortium – CPNL) collaborated on the “Alimenta el català” (“Foster Catalan”) campaign aimed to promote the use of Catalan among both customers and employees. This initiative included linguistic competitions for customers on Instagram, gathering over 700 dialectal variants that were incorporated into product labels according to regions. For employees, Catalan language courses and an internal competition were offered to improve workplace vocabulary. The campaign strengthened linguistic responsibility and the use of the language in the socioeconomic sector, promoting a strong bond with customers.
