The journal is published semi-annually, within the month of June and the month of December. The existence of a printed version makes it necessary to restrict the number of articles accepted in each issue.
The reviewers have one month to review the articles, that can be extended if it is necessary. In addition, it must be considered that there are works requiring a third evaluator and, therefore, a longer term for the review required.
It is compulsory, in all the publications of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, to go through a linguistic revision process.
The average duration of the complete editorial process, from the submission of the originals to the online publication of the articles, is 6 months, in the last three years (between 4 and 12 months).
