Abstract

Ramón y Cajal and San Juan de la Cruz vocabularies are paradigmatic examples used to show two kinds of terminologies facing the inside of the human being. Both of them, despite their remarkable differences, have several similarities. Besides, they demonstrate how the most common ways used by the neologic generation to develope a specialized speech coincide throughout the History. They swing between past and present, between the old denominations and the new possibilities offered by the different languages.
