Abstract

While aware of the complexity and acceleration surrounding the current educational reality, we educators cannot afford to live in a state of permanent anguish and fear caused by such uncertainty and unpredictability. We have to be brave and committed in and to a globalised world, we must do away with fixed schemes and routines, surprise those around us, although good will and enthusiasm alone will not suffice to restore drive and joy to education, and good, organised and clear theoretical bases are needed to guarantee learning. This contribution is a review of this conceptual basis, and we provide an example of its applicability in the sphere of heritage by means of a problem-solving strategy.
