Notícies de jueus de l'aljama de Tarragona extretes de l'Arxiu Històric de Tarragona Authors Josep-Xavier Muntané i Santiveri Abstract Information on Jews in Tarragona?s aljama, extracted from the Historical Archive of Tarragona (HAT). This article presents around a hundred documents related to Tarragona?s aljama (a Spanish term of Arabic origin used in old official documents to designate self-governing communities of Moors and Jews living under Spanish rule). Extracted from specific records held in the HAT (books of municipal agreements, financial and treasury documents and the protocols of notaries public), some of the documents have been published previously while others have not. Complete bibliographic references are provided for the published documents and their status at the HAT is specified. The hitherto unpublished documents are transcribed in their entirety and, likewise, their status at the HAT is specified. Presented in chronological order, the documents span a period of 250 years, from 1246 to 1496. Downloads Download data is not yet available.
