Abstract

In this article, we discuss the content of 46 documents from the Segarra Regional Archive (ACSG). Dating from the years 1439-1450, they refer to the relations as neighbours between Christians and Jews in Cervera over the period in question. Specifically, we shed light on the following aspects: separation within the town; the protection of Jews; the work Jews performed for the municipal authorities; adherence to municipal rules; public works; loans from Jews; and the defence of the town’s privileges. We then list the publications cited in our discussion and, in an appendix, transcribe the 46 documents examined.
