«Los libros históricos del Antiguo Testamento» (Historical Books of the Old Testament), an unpublished work by Eduard Bosch Bellver Authors Jordi Vidal Palomino Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona DOI: https://doi.org/10.2436/20.1006.01.87 Keywords: historical-critical exegesis, documentary hypothesis, form criticism, Ancient Israel Abstract In this paper, we present an unpublished manuscript by the Catalan biblical scholar Eduard Bosch Bellver (1921-2004). Although the text is untitled and undated, we have been able to determine that it consists of the notes Bosch wrote for a summer course called «Los libros históricos del Antiguo Testamento» (Historical Books of the Old Testament), given at the Borja Centre in 1981. The manuscrit shows Bosch’s proximity to the theoretical postulates of historical-critical exegesis, a new historiographical trend that was predominant in Europe at the time and which he himself incorporated into classes at the Barcelona Seminary.
