About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Tamid: Revista Catalana Anual d'Estudis Hebraics is a research journal published annually (since vol. 7) by the Catalan Society for Hebraic Studies, a branch of the Institute for Catalan Studies. It features original pieces of work by the Society’s members and other scholars of Judaism and Hebraism, with a particular focus on medieval Catalan Judaism.

The articles in Tamid are written by researchers who specifically work in the aforementioned fields, have first-hand knowledge of relevant historical and philological documentation, and are familiar with the latest studies on the journal’s subject matter. Additionally, the publication includes Catalan translations of pieces of work by foreign scholars whose expertise in a given area is such that their output deserves attention.

Most of Tamid’s articles are in Catalan, although the Editorial Board may accept work in English, Spanish, French, Italian or Occitan.

The journal also includes book reviews and bibliographies.

Tamid is an open access publication with a blind review system.
