Abstract

This article is an attempt to understand the slogan of Walter Benjamin, according to which, in a city one must learn to lose him-self. Through this interpretation, the text embraces also the benjaminian idea of a crisis of the experience that can only be overcome through strategies of distancing the habit and routine (such as disorientation).
