Abstract

Between the eighteenth and twentieth century cartographic representation of the city underwent major changes, supported by technical advances but especially in the transformation experimented by cities. In the Basque Country we could see how a small territory accumulated structural changes that laid the foundation of a new country in which the industrial cities become protagonists. Urban mapping, with its active purposing role contributed to the change and clearly illustrate the entity of training patterns of cities and their transformation.
