Abstract

One of the economic activities that cause large territorial changes is tourism. This paper quantifies the importance of hotelier urbanization in relation to the total urban development. Secondly, the different spatial fixes of the hotel chains are analyzed. Those
spatial fixes have been: the production of the tourist space (Platja de Palma), the restructuring of the tourism space (Platja de Palma) the restructuring of the tourist space towards a residential one (Platja de Palma), and the reproduction of the model (Saïdia).
