Population Geography in Geografia de Catalunya of Aedos publisher

Abstract

The Geografia de Catalunya published by Aedos press has been one of the most important contributions to Catalan geography, not only for its scientific quality, but also to help keep the Catalan identity during Franco’s dictatorship. One of the key issues in the geography of mid-twentieth century was the settlement and population geography, issues discussed extensively in the present text. This text shows what’s about Population Geography in the Geografia de Catalunya, and links it with the population geography published between 1950-1965 with the main role of Josep Iglésies.
