Abstract Based on a quantitative approach consisting in photo-interpreting aerial images using GIS techniques, complemented by a qualitative approach (fieldwork and bibliography), a diachronic study (1956, 1978, 1991 and 2012) is carried out about land use cover in the municipality of Benicàssim, belonging to the district of Plana de Castelló (València).
