La Ficció televisiva de TV3 com a productora de referents d'identitat cultural catalana: estudi de cas de la sitcom Plats bruts

Abstract

The present article describes some of the results arrived at in a doctoral dissertation research that focused on the creation of fiction products, audiovisual texts and consumption. We examined the trajectory of fiction produced by TV3 and made the decision to focus our study on the sitcom Plats bruts (Dirty Dishes). Our qualitative study of Plats bruts led to a deeper understanding of how narrative fiction is constructed. References to Catalan cultural identity were located in the audiovisual texts and the diverse expressions used were noted. We also explored the use, appropriation and consumption of Catalan identity that was generated by this series. Finally, our research considered the implications between culture and communication some of which are included in the present article.
