Peer Review Process

100% of the contents of the magazine are reviewed and evaluated by experts. All originals received for the Articles section (and those that may be created) are subject to a double blind external review.

The Editorial Team is made up of:
- an Editorial Committee, which guarantees the quality of each issue and is in charge of the editorial process;
- a Scientific Council, with researchers of various nationalities and different fields of experience, selected from among the external reviewers who regularly collaborate with the journal.

For each original received, the Editorial Committee checks:
- the adaptation to the thematic scope and the interest of the article according to the editorial criteria of the magazine, and
- compliance with the rules for presenting originals required by the magazine.

All manuscripts that meet these requirements are subjected to a double-blind review system by two specialists in the subject of the article, external to the journal and linked to various institutions, different from the institution of the author or authors of the original being evaluated.

The comments made by the reviewers are known to the Editorial Committee and the authors, and are made available to the rest of the Editorial Team.

Average time for reviews: 4 weeks

In the event of a double-blind review with absolutely opposite results, a third evaluator is included.

The Editorial Committee of the journal communicates to the authors the reviewers' resolution, which may be:
- the acceptance of the work for publication;
- a proposal for modification and improvement, with specific instructions, for it to be reviewed again, or
- the rejection of the work.

The authors must send the new revised version of the article. If the requested changes are minor or formal, the Editorial Committee reviews the changes before accepting the article. If the proposed modifications are important or substantive, the article revised by the author(s) is sent back to the external specialists, who must accept the changes and approve the article for publication. Once the article has been approved by the external reviewers, it is also reviewed by the Editorial Committee, which finally, after accepting it, begins the editing process.

1. Editorial process

The originals will be initially evaluated by the journal editors, who will decide whether the article complies with the editorial rules and whether it fits the topic. If so, the originals will be examined by independent experts (peer review), who will carry out a double-blind review, and will be
accepted, rejected or accepted with revisions. In the latter case, the authors will have to attend to the revisions and return the duly modified originals, which will be examined again by the editors to decide whether they have answered the questions raised.
