Peer Review Process

Internal review

The editorial team considers articles as candidates for publication after an initial editorial evaluation that consists of checking for the thematic suitability and interest of the article in accordance with TSC editorial criteria and for compliance with formal submission requirements for the journal.

External review

Once an article is deemed to be a candidate for publication, it is sent for confidential and anonymous review by two external expert reviewers (double-blind review). Original articles, short papers and book reviews will undergo external peer review. In the case of disparate opinions between the two selected reviewers, a third reviewer will be consulted.

Reviewer selection criteria

The selection of the reviewers, of national or international origin, is the responsibility of the editorial team, which takes into account reviewer academic, scientific and professional expertise. Reviewers may occasionally include members of the Scientific Committee.

Editorial criteria

The editorial team reserves the right to accept or reject articles based on external reviews, to introduce style changes and to cut texts that exceed the permitted length, while respecting the original content. Acceptance or rejection of an article is based on the following editorial criteria: a) it is original (i.e., an entirely original article making valuable contributions); b) it is current and novel; c) it is relevant (i.e., results are applicable to specific problems); d) it significantly advances knowledge; e) it is scientifically reliable and valid (of proven methodological quality, with suitable references); and f) it is properly presented (well written, well organized in terms of logical coherence and material presentation).

Publication

Once an article has been reviewed, the corresponding author will be notified of acceptance or rejection for publication.
