Abstract

This documentary research study was conducted to help contextualize Antoni M. Badia’s book La llengua dels barcelonins (The Language of the Barcelonans) and seeks to draw attention to some factors that, in the author’s opinion, should be taken into account in order to refine historiographical approaches to Catalan sociolinguistics.
