Valencian based on the 2015 SIES survey Authors Antoni Mas i Miralles Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana. Universitat d’Alacant Keywords: demo-linguistics, knowledge, use, attitude, Catalan language, Valencian Country Abstract This research offers a descriptive study of the 2015 SIES (Sociolinguistic Studies and Research Service) survey. We present the results of the four knowledge skills; of the usage in different contexts, such as the home, circles of friends, shopping, work and the ITCs; of the language used in different types of texts; and of the speakers’ attitudes. We also examine some social variables (age, area, towns, etc.) in some specific contexts. Apart from studying the results of these three sociolinguistic elements, in this research we also aim to offer an overview of the evolution of the knowledge, use and attitude in the different surveys carried out by the SIES from 1989 onwards, in order to determine the trends of each element, which will give us a better idea of the current Valencian sociolinguistic situation. Keywords: demo-linguistics, knowledge, use, attitude, Catalan language, Valencian Country Downloads Download data is not yet available.
