Comunicació. Revista de Recerca i d'Anàlisi is indexed in the following databases: Journal Citation Report (Clariviate - Web of Science, JCI), Latindex (33 of 33 criteria met), MIAR, DICE, RESH, ISOC-CSIC, RACO, Dialnet, CCUC, DOAJ and REDIB . The journal has the FECYT quality certificate. The journal occupies position 321 in the H Index Communication Journals ranking according to Google Scholar Metrics (2008-2012), prepared by the Research Group Evaluation of Science and Scientific Communication (EC3 Metrics) of the University of Granada. Under its former name, Treballs de Comunicació, the journal was included in Carhus Plus 2010 and IN-RECS.

The IEC journals included in the Hemeroteca Científica Catalana (Catalan Scientific Hemeroteca) use as descriptors the 15 properties recommended by the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set, a reduced version of the ISO 15836 (2009) standard.
