Abstract

This article is a version of the authors presentation at the conference on Art, Societat i Noves Tecnologies. It is evident that works of art created with the aid of NTIC require a new framework. According toMercader, even though disciplinary and thematic technological divisions run the risk of impeding a full understanding of the artistic fact, the term Media Art derives from the very close relationship of Art with the globalising phenomenon of telecommunications.
