Abstract

The goal of this paper is to provide an overview of the development of web applications and, in particular, to explain some of the techniques, tools, and methodologies used by the professionals working in this field. To achieve this goal it will be necessary to analyze in some detail the origin, categories, characteristics and internal architecture of web applications.
