IES Marta Mata: organització del treball per competències Authors Núria Pratdesaba i López Abstract IES Marta mata: skills-based work organisation. The Marta Mata Secondary School in Montornès del Vallès, Barcelona, was opened in 2006 and belongs to the key skills network (Xarxa de Competències Bàsiques). The article deals with the implementation of the skills-based curriculum and its introduction into the school board and the classroom. Following initial training for management teams, a project took shape that intended to introduce the cross-disciplinary work of an initial key skill: linguistic and audiovisual communication competence. The task was easier since the school already had a project on audiovisual media. The article presents the different profiles of the teachers who took part, the work carried out at the coordination meetings and the different work and development stages. In short, the project deals with identifying the linguistic shortcomings of pupils and establishing agreed work objectives, unifying teaching criteria and considering potential assessment situations other than learning contexts.
