Llengua, educació i immigració: el simposi de Girona

Abstract

The Symposium: Language, Education and Immigration, which takes place in Girona since 1997, is going to celebrate this year its sixth edition. The paper goes over the topics discussed during its history and takes a first stock. Its should be emphasized its opportunity: immigration has been one of the most important phenomenon these years; the relationship with the Sitges Seminar and the continuity of its editions; and the link to the teaching staff of different educational stages. Proposed topics have tried to influence the national educational policy in relation to these questions and have made a determined bet for inclusive, open-to-community and committed-to-nation education.
