Authors Isidor Marí i Mayans Abstract This article deals with the heuristic model of Willingness to Communicate in a L2, conceptualized by MacIntyre et al. (1998), from the point of view of its practical application by teachers. Starting from the assumption that the main objective of a language course is achieving that the learners develop a willingness to communicate in it whenever they can, this article analyzes how teachers can facilitate that learners overcome the disadvantages that make it difficult, according to every layer and factor of WTC model.
