Abstract

This article shows the need not be satisfied with learning only one foreign language. It is based on the assumption that if everyone spoke English, rather than a benefit, that would be a loss. Only English as a second language is not reasonable or economical. The author proposes to diversify the range of languages and learning objectives. He holds the point of view that the school must teach, not a single international language, but the ability to learn new ones with your language awareness. EuroComRom is an approach that seeks to take advantage of the ability to transfer learning from ones language to another, for pedagogical and neurolinguistic reasons. It is proposed to place learning catalan in a central position to make a bridge for learning other languages. To educate in a miltilingual perspective is needed openness to other cultures, respect, tolerance, solidarity, education for democratic coexistence and for peace.
