Abstract

On the occasion of the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the birth of Sigmund Freud, the author gave a conference to commemorate this event. He addresses the significance of education in Freud's thought, based on the analysis of some of his most emblematic works. He also reviews the contributions of other authors (Aichhorn) in the same psychoanalytical line, and also enters into dialogue with Kantian anthropology. Finally, Freud's contributions are transferred to the field of social pedagogy for social educators to be aware of the importance that the subject is beginning to enjoy again in the current social discourse.
