Abstract

This article is intended as a reflection on the implementation of a classroom project from the students’ point of view as much as the teachers’. The project is part of the 1st year curriculum of compulsory secondary school. Its subject is about animals. The central part of the article is a report on the achievements and on the difficulties encountered during the two school years in which the project was implemented. The text explains the conception and evolution of the project and displais a few results that can be of use as examples of elaboration and implementation of projects for other teachers. This project has proved itself to be a useful teaching tool in the improvement of students’ teaching-learning process and it has brought about a change in our teachers’ approach to their work, promoting a better coordination and collaboration among different areas.
