This article explores how important it is for students to finish their regulated studies, becoming competent and feeling motivated to improve society, with their local setting as their starting point. That is why it highlights different research studies which, applied transversely and worked on cooperatively, are proposed to students to achieve the basic curricular knowledge, focusing on elements of their immediate surroundings.
