About the Journal

Educació i Història: Revista d’Història de l’Educació [Education and History: Journal on the History of Education] is a biannual journal of the Society for the History of Education in Catalan-speaking countries [Societat d’Història de l’Educació dels Països de Llengua Catalana], affiliated to the Institute for Catalan Studies [Institut d’Estudis Catalans], which was first published in 1994. Since July 2025, the issues have been published in the first month of each semester, namely in January and July.

Educació i Història: Revista d’Història de l’Educació [Education and History: Journal on the History of Education] is a journal specialising in studies on education from a historical perspective. The most common topics are: educational thought, educational institutions, the phenomena of socialization and informal education, the relationship between politics and education, school history, education during leisure time, school books and materials, youth associations and the history of childhood, and issues related to teaching the history of education.

Educació i Història: Revista d’Història de l’Educació [Education and History: Journal on the History of Education] is an open access journal in the self-archiving Green Open Access modality, whose submitted articles are subjected to blind peer review.
