Literature and thought Authors Raül Garrigasait i Colomés DOI: 10.2436/20.3001.01.159 Keywords: philosophy, literature, mimesis, metaphor, Plato, Aristotle, Ramon Llull, Hans Blumenberg, Iris Murdoch Abstract From the very beginning of the philosophical tradition, the relationship between philosophy and poetry, as well as with literary language in general, has been a central and recurring question. Starting from this observation, the author addresses some particularly significant moments in which philosophy engages with this issue. Through the perspectives of Heraclitus, Plato, Aristotle, Ramon Llull, Descartes, Hans Blumenberg, and Iris Murdoch, he reflects on the meaning of mimesis, on the relationship between concept and narrative, and on the founding role played by metaphors.
