Caracterització cartogràfica de la vulnerabilitat dels usos del sòl a Catalunya davant incendis superiors a 50 hectàrees (1986/2005). Implementació a través d'eines SIG

Abstract

Mapping characterization of the vulnerability of the land uses in Catalonia to fires over 50 hectares (1986/2005). Using tools of Geographic Information Systems. Using tools of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and from data available on the web, we generate a series of maps of Catalonia on land use vulnerability to fire for a better understanding of the idiosyncrasies of this kind of fires. The objective is to find a consistent relationship between soil type affected and the fire itself. Once characterized the vegetation affected and the information generated from the four maps it is constructed the ?vulnerability of use? in Catalonia for the periods considered: 1986-1990, 1991- 1995, 1996-2000 and 2001-2005.
