This article analyzes, according to different opinions made by rural owners in interviews and press, which is their perception of forest fires. We?ve studied this perception in three different moments. Firstly, when the fire begins and develops. Secondly, right after the fire has been put out. Finally, what happens some days or weeks later. One of the main conclusions is the frustration and anguish feeling in the rural community against Government, because even after several fire strakes, they keep doing the same mistakes. Therefore, there is a need of increase the investments in prevention and improve the communication politics between fireman department and local people.
