Naturbanización. Algunos ejemplos en áreas de montaña y periurbanas

Abstract

Naturbanization. Some examples in mountain and peri-urban areas. This paper presents the naturbanization processes in a number of areas, like the national parks of Doñana and Sierra Nevada (Spain), Peneda-Gêres (Portugal) and Kaminoski (Poland). They all have in common that the tigger fo urban growth is the recognition of the environmental and landscape values of the protected areas surrounding. The research attempts to demonstrate both urban and land use changes dynamics around these areas, changes wich have obvious parallels between mountain and peri-urban protected areas. The results suggest progress on the concept and the methodology to enhance comparative analysis, and make proposals for the preservation of protected areas afected by naturbanization processes.
