Divisió territorial de Catalunya: algunes reflexions des de l'Alt Pirineu

Abstract

This paper presents five themes in order to understand the administrative organization of Catalonia. First, there is a reminder of the discussion done just before to reinstate parliamentary democracy in Catalonia. Second, some main concepts in order to understand regional planning there are presented. Third, there is an analysis of each type of administrative organization according to different levels of government, functions and responsibilities. Fourth, a list of the main laws during the re-establish Catalan self-government (1977-2009) is presented. And fifth, from the point of view of the proposed ?Vegueria de l?Alt Pirineu i l?Aran? the process to implement the administrative organization of Catalonia in vegueries, is analysed. In full, it is expected to bring significant elements in order to think about different types of administrative organization of Catalonia.
