Abstract

In the present article an approximation is made to the legal reality faced by the LGBTI population (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transsexuals and intersexuals) in different countries of the world. An analysis of the punishment or acceptance that exists on the homosexuality is realized and what its legal evolution has been through the time. The results show the vision of a strongly divided bipolar world with a tendency to further division in the future. America, Oceania and Western Europe welcome and respect the population with heterodox sexual behaviors while the rest of the world is torn between the denial of the phenomenon and the overwhelming and exemplary oppression.
