Inmigración, religiosidad y espacio: una mirada desde la geografía cultural Authors Fabián Claudio Flores Abstract Traditionally, studies of migration and their eventual impact in the territory have been limited to a shallow geographic analysis based on the rigid framework of pull and push models. The use of concepts such as social networks and migration changes have contributed to a certain theoretical and methodological renovation adding some dynamism in the ways these social phenomena are studied, and allowing the inclusion of certain variables such as spatial production and identity processes. This paper analyzes the migration flows towards the Colona de Puiggari (between Rios-Argentina) from a cultural geography perspective. It analyzes first the development of the first migrations of German Russians and the later arrival of the Adventists, and second the impact of these waves of migration in the creation of space with its own identity and cultural practices.
