Abstract

The so-called think tanks play an essential role in the production of public policies. In Catalonia (and Spain at large) the political party foundations have become the dominant type of think tank for reasons of political culture. This translates into specific financing from the public administrations. However, the prevalence of political foundations is not reflected in their media presence, one of the main indicators of think tank influence. Accordingly, in order to determine their level of influence, this article analyzes the media presence of party tanks in selected print media based on the polarized pluralist model.
