Abstract

This communication studies the consumption of traditional local press and online press by readers, radio listeners and web users resident in Catalonia. To do this, we created an online survey for people over 18. Here we found out that the traditional media are the most consumed, followed by traditional local media; that there is a downward trend in the consumption of online news with the increasing age, and that the online media are accessed primarily by laptop, followed by desktop computer and smartphone. This reveals a multiscreen panorama under formation, in quest of an identity and a business model.
