Abstract

This paper supports the thesis that philosophy for children can and should be used as one of the levers that can activate the learning of creative thinking in children within the school environment. Such learning is not a boutade, but a necessity in a complex globalized world. Facing the current and future challenges will require citizens with a critical, creative and carefully formed profile if our main aim is to promote the defence of a quality democracy, favouring the construction of a fairer and freer world. Responsible and involved participation alone will allow us to overcome the inertia and obstacles to directing the inevitable social transformation towards higher levels of social progress.
